Mozano Senior High School (MOSEC) is preparing to host a landmark celebration. It marks two significant milestones: its 43rd Anniversary and the 9th Speech and Prize-Giving Day. This event is set in the heart of Gomoa Eshiem. It serves as a powerful reflection on over four decades of excellence. The school is guided by its enduring motto: “Ahobrase ma Nkonyimdzi” (Humility is the Hallmark of Success).

Our Foundation and Purpose

MOSEC stands as a beacon of growth. It is driven by a clear Vision: to be “an exciting place for holistic education.” The goal is also to be a “school of choice for learners.” The school’s mission is dedicated to training students in aesthetic, social, physical, and academic excellence. This training is firmly grounded in religious and moral ideals and principles.

The school’s culture is rooted in a set of Core Values that shape every Mosecan:

  • Academic Excellence & Hard Work
  • Religious and Moral Ideals
  • Self-reliance & Creativity
  • Critical Thinking & Teamwork
  • Aesthetic Values

A Vision for the Future

The centerpiece of this year’s celebration is a profound and future-looking theme:

“Fostering an Academic Mindset in a Developing Community: The Future We Envisage”

This theme highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing the intellectual curiosity. It emphasizes the leadership needed to drive growth within the community and the nation. It asks students, staff, and all other stakeholders to ponder on their roles. They should consider how they shape an environment where academic pursuit is the primary catalyst for development.

Why This Milestone Matters

Forty-three years of existence is a testament to resilience and vision. Since its founding, Mozano SHS has remained a cornerstone of education. The school enhances this anniversary with a prize-giving ceremony. It reinforces its commitment to rewarding excellence today. Additionally, it strategically plans for the “future envisaged.”

This celebration is a meaningful event for every mosecan, parent, and member of MOSA (Mozano Old Students Association). It serves as an opportunity to honor the school’s rich history. It is also a chance to commit to its bright, unfolding future.
