From Mozano SHS to Valedictorian: Eric Eshun’s Journey

Eric Eshun

There are moments in the history of an institution that fill every hallway with a sense of collective pride. Today is one of those moments. We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the stellar academic and leadership journey of our distinguished alumnus, Eric Eshun. He has recently been named Valedictorian at the University of Ghana.

A Legacy of Excellence

Eric’s story is one of grit, grace, and an unwavering commitment to his goals. After completing his foundational years at Apam Methodist Primary & JHS, Eric joined us here at Mozano Senior High School. Even then, his dedication was evident. He carried the values of our school into his higher education. This proved that with the right foundation, there are no limits to what a student can achieve.

Shattering Glass Ceilings

At the University of Ghana, Eric pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Resource Development. He didn’t just pass; he conquered. Graduating with a staggering FGPA of 3.95, Eric has placed himself in the top echelon of his cohort.

His academic prowess earned him prestigious recognition, including:

  • University of Ghana Sponsorship (Level 200)
  • GNPC Scholarship (Levels 300 & 400)
  • 1 Student 1 Laptop Initiative beneficiary

Leadership Beyond the Classroom

What makes Eric a true “Mozano Star” is that his brilliance isn’t confined to textbooks. He has served as a Teaching Assistant. He was also a Vice-President of the Streams of Living Waters Foundation. Additionally, he was a leader at the Missionaries of Christ Church. Eric has shown consistent dedication to community improvement. He led the Clean Ocean Project Ghana. He also won the 2024 Most Influential Student of the Year award.

A Beacon for Current Students

To our current students walking the same paths Eric once did: let his journey be your roadmap. Eric attributes his success to hard work, faith, and the support of mentors. These are values we strive to instill in every student at Mozano SHS.

Eric’s story is a testament to the fact that it doesn’t matter where you start. It’s the passion and purpose you bring to the journey that determines where you finish.

Congratulations, Eric Eshun! You have made your alma mater incredibly proud. We cannot wait to see how you continue to change the world.
