Student Guide: How To Access And Navigate The LMS

This guide shows students how to log in to the Learning Management System (LMS), move around the platform, open courses, and use the main learning tools.


1. How to access the LMS directly

  1. Open the school’s LMS https://lms.mozanoshs.org.
  2. On the login page, click the Student / Learner tab.
  3. Enter your Student ID.
    Example format: 0011244/240033
  4. Enter your password.
  5. Click Sign In as Student.
  6. If you cannot remember your password, click Forgot password?.

Note:
If your LMS is connected to the SIS, your student credentials can also be validated through the SIS integration.


2. Important: First-time users (New students)

If you are a new student and do not yet have a password, you must first create or reset your password through the SIS portal before you can log in to either the SIS or LMS.

Steps to create/reset your password

  1. Go to the SIS login page.
  2. Click on the Student tab.
  3. Click the password reset or account setup option (e.g., Forgot Password).
  4. Enter your Student ID.
  5. Provide a valid email address.
  6. Enter your JHS Index Number correctly.
  7. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

After successfully setting your password:

  • You can now log in to the SIS student portal
  • Then access the LMS from SIS, or log in directly to the LMS

3. How to access the LMS through the SIS portal

Students can also enter the LMS through the SIS portal.

Option A: Start from the LMS page

  1. Open the LMS login page.
  2. Click Login via SIS Portal.
  3. On the SIS login page, click the Student tab.
  4. Enter your Student ID.
  5. Enter your Student Password.
  6. Click Login.
  7. After signing in to SIS, open the top-right account menu and click Access LMS.

Option B: Start from the SIS page

  1. Open your school’s SIS portal.
  2. Click the Student tab on the login page.
  3. Enter your Student ID and Student Password.
  4. Click Login.
  5. After you enter the student portal, open the account menu at the top right.
  6. Click Access LMS.
  7. A new LMS session will open for you automatically.

4. What you see after logging in

After login, you are taken to the Dashboard.

On the dashboard, students can quickly see:

  • My Courses
  • Start Today's Study
  • Quick Links
  • Upcoming Live Classes
  • Recent Grades
  • My Certificates
  • My Calendar
  • Today's Plan
  • Upcoming Assignments
  • Upcoming Quizzes

Use the Continue Learning button on a course card to jump straight back into a course.


5. How to move around the platform

Use the left sidebar to move between the main parts of the LMS.

Main

  • Dashboard
  • Browse Courses

Study

  • Today's Study
  • Flashcards
  • Quizzes

Community

  • Forum
  • Messages

Progress

  • Grades
  • Certificates
  • Analytics
  • Learning Progress
  • Intelligence Profile

6. What each main area is for

Dashboard

Use the dashboard to get a quick view of your learning, upcoming work, study plan, calendar, and live classes.

Browse Courses

Use Browse Courses to look through available courses.

My Courses

Use My Courses to view all the courses you are enrolled in. You can also filter them by:

  • Total Enrolled
  • In Progress
  • Completed
  • Not Started

Flashcards

Use Flashcards to study revision cards and spaced-repetition content.

Quizzes

Use Quizzes to open available quizzes and complete assessments.

Forum

Use Forum to join course discussions.

Messages

Use Messages to communicate with other users in the platform.

Grades

Use Grades to check your course and assessment results.

Certificates

Use Certificates to view any course certificates you have earned.

Intelligence Profile and Learning Progress

Use these pages to review your personal learning data, progress, and performance insights.


7. How to open and use a course

  1. Click My Courses or Browse Courses.
  2. Open the course you want.
  3. On the course page, use the tabs:
    Overview, Course Content, Reviews, and Announcements.
  4. Open Course Content to see the modules and lessons inside the course.
  5. Click a lesson title to open it.
  6. If you are already enrolled, you can click Continue Learning.

Inside a course, you may see different learning items such as:

  • lessons
  • documents
  • videos
  • quizzes
  • assignments
  • flashcard decks
  • live classes

8. How to use lessons, quizzes, assignments, and live classes

Lessons

Read or watch the lesson content, then use Mark as Complete when that option is available.

Assignments

Open the assignment from the course content area, upload or enter your work, then click Submit Assignment.

Quizzes

Open the quiz from the course or quiz area and complete the questions within the allowed rules.

Live classes

If a live class is scheduled, open it and click Join Google Meet or Join Live Class.


9. Top bar tools students should know

The top bar gives you quick access to:

  • search with Search courses, lessons...
  • notifications
  • messages
  • Quick Study
  • your account menu

From your account menu, you can open:

  • Profile
  • Settings
  • Go to SIS
  • Logout

10. Simple tips for students

  • Always use the Student / Learner tab on the LMS login page.
  • If you are logging in through SIS, always use the Student tab there.
  • New students must set their password through the SIS before attempting to log in.
  • Check your Dashboard first each day.
  • Use My Courses when you want to continue a class quickly.
  • Use Today's Study and Flashcards for revision.
  • Check Upcoming Assignments and Upcoming Quizzes often so you do not miss deadlines.
  • Use Messages and Forum when you need help or updates.

11. If you cannot log in

  1. Make sure you are using the correct Student ID.
  2. Make sure you are entering the correct password.
  3. New users should complete password setup through the SIS first.
  4. Try the Forgot password? option on the LMS or SIS.
  5. If the problem continues, contact your school administrator or ICT support team.
